Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) MilTA funds are a unique, distinct source of financial aid available to eligible Service members. These funds are considered first if other forms of financial aid are being utilized.

Incentives are available to students enrolled in several programs, including Technology, Nursing, Sign Language, and Education. The incentives may be in the form of grants or loan forgiveness. For more information, contact the Financial Aid Office.


Alternative Loans

Designed to assist students with educational costs after all other financial aid programs are utilized. Interest charges on these loans vary depending on the lender and the loan type. Students need to be credit-worthy borrowers and oftentimes need a cosigner for the loan. The minimum loan a student can borrow is $500 per academic year. Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, services to help individuals achieve their employment goals. A variety of job search assistance services are available to all individuals. Expanded services, such as funds for relocation or training, are available to qualifying individuals. Contact a local North Dakota Job Service office to apply for funds that may cover tuition, fees, books, and supplies. For best consideration application should be made 6 months before enrollment.
