Sydney Wardner attended Â鶹ԭ´´ from fall 2019 to spring 2022, earning her associate of nursing degree. She chose Lake Region after hearing positive feedback from former nursing students in her hometown. Reflecting on her experience, Sydney said, "Some of the best memories at Â鶹ԭ´´ were with softball teammates and nursing classmates. One that stands out is attending open skate night at Burdick Arena for a campus event!"

Sydney credits her royal ambassador advisor, Ashlee Collison, as a major influence during her time at Â鶹ԭ´´. œDuring my time at Â鶹ԭ´´, every staff member was kind and helpful, Sydney said. She added, œShe was my biggest supporter and genuinely took an interest in me and my degree.

When offering advice to new students, Sydney said, "Going to college can be stressful if making new friends is difficult. At Â鶹ԭ´´, a smaller campus, you can make friends easily by joining activities with other students."

Sydney currently works as an associate degree nurse at Altru in the surgical department.

œI would tell students to look at Â鶹ԭ´´ because of the great environment.

I™ve been given many opportunities such as student senate where I get to be the vice president, secretary and treasurer. I am royal ambassador, invited into honor society, and I™ll graduate in one year. I have scholarship money to pay for fall and spring semester and then some.

I don™t know why anyone wouldn™t come here, especially with dual credit, since it opens many doors for futures.

Erin received scholarships from Campus Clan & Kin, Darling Family, and Klemetsrud Family endowments.

œI am currently studying Liberal Arts at Â鶹ԭ´´. After graduation, I plan to earn Bachelor in History Education and become a high school history teacher. I am also President of the Student Senate, a valuable extracurricular for getting involved in student government.

I have so far received the James Wakefield and American Bank Center Scholarships and I feel very honored. Receiving these shows my hard work, helps financially, and enhances my transcript.

Nicole chose Â鶹ԭ´´ because it a great place to start your college path.

œWhy pay more to take the classes at a four-year university when you can take them at a two-year school?

She found cost savings at Â鶹ԭ´´ because students only pay for the first 12 on-campus credits. Additional on-campus credits are a bonus. Nicole says all her instructors are great and they truly care about your well-being.

Nicole is the recipient of the Jay & Mavis Gerrells Scholarship endowment

Austin chose Â鶹ԭ´´ as it was very affordable and offered an excellent program in accounting. And, as you can see by the photo the great baseball program offered by the college was a bonus.

œScholarships have had a profound impact on me and many students I know. Â鶹ԭ´´ offers many scholarships that have made college more affordable and reduced much of the stress of finances.

Austin received scholarships from the Colleen Bryn Memorial Endowment, Gary and Rita Stenson Endowment, and Harley Summers Toolbox Scholarship.
